Less is More

There are a lot of times when you don't have to do to much for a restoration to make it look good. Sometimes less is more,  even if all you have to do is add a little paint and stenciled butterflies on the outside.

This piece we paid very little money at the Goodwill store. The original price was $5.00 but since it was half price day we got it for a steal at $2.50 plus tax. This doesn't look like much but after a little TLC this piece can be beautiful. All this took was some white, and purple glitter paint, whith butterfly stentcils and this little planter box looks great.
This goes to show that you don't have to add a lot to an old planter blox from the Goodwill, because less is more with a little creativity and TLC.

Recycle & Reuse

One thing I have found is that it is nice to find another purpose for something used or something old and worn out.
I always find art pieces that others have made out of things that others would have thrown in the garbage or thrown in a landfil or junkyard. I think if more of us could find other purposes for these things and make a little art, there would be a smaller footprint on the environment.
Just about anything can become a living work of art. Things that you would not expect, things like empty glass jars, bottle caps, empty beer and soda cans can be made into something else.

We can always make something new out of something old and used. With a little imagination we can make something ungly into a beautiful piece of art. If we would just look at the things around us we can make the world around us a more artistic place to live.

Bedazzled with Buttons

Today my wife was taking her glasses out of it's case to find that the case was looking a bit on the rough side. Well not having the money to replace it, my wife decided to make it sparkle as a fixed work or art. Going into our art supplies we foun some marbles buttons and other little things. In no type of real patturn she started hot glueing thinngs to the cover of the case. Marbles, buttons, googly eyes and other cool decorations began to make this a one of a kind piece.
This goes to show that you can fix anything with a little imagination, some buttons, and hot glue.

Welcome to Repurposed & Reused Art

Welcome to our blog, here you will find old items from Goodwll, yard sales, and antique stores that we have broaght back to life. You can use anything to create a living breathing work of art. My wife and I have found that making art out of recycled items is a great way to create art as well.
There are a lot of things we wast and throw away everyday and get thrown into landfils. Why not repurpose those items and make them into something usefull.
We have already made a few projects starting out before writing this blog. We have fixed and repurposed an old lamp, and an old morror with seashells, also we have fixed up a birdhouse with a little paint, old vintage buttons, and some glitter.
This goes to show that you can make anything with leftover things and a little imagination.
